Security Systems Integration Across Multiple Properties

<p class=”whitespace-normal break-words”>I manage several rental properties (four single-family homes and one small apartment building) and I’m looking to standardize security systems integrator services across all of them. Currently, each property has mismatched systems—some old hardwired setups, some newer wireless, and one with basically nothing.</p>

<li class=”whitespace-normal break-words”>Gives tenants privacy while letting me monitor property security
<li class=”whitespace-normal break-words”>Is reliable enough that I’m not constantly getting false alarms<p class=”whitespace-normal break-words”>I’ve looked at some DIY options, but with five properties, I think I need professional help designing something that actually makes sense. My biggest question is whether to do identical systems everywhere or customize based on each property’s specific needs and layout?</p>
<p class=”whitespace-normal break-words”>Also wondering about the legal/privacy considerations when monitoring occupied rentals. What can landlords legally monitor, and how do you communicate that to tenants without making them uncomfortable? Anyone else managing multiple properties with integrated security?
