Why is the 2000s Web Aesthetic Coming Back So Strong?

Hi everyone,

is it just me, or is the internet starting to look like 2005 all over again? I’m seeing so many blinkies, old-school stamps, and glittery cursors on personal blogs lately.

I’ve decided to lean into the trend and I’m looking for a very specific cutecore pfp that uses those old-school digital artifacts and low-res textures.

I think there’s something so charming about the “imperfect” look of early web graphics compared to the flat, corporate designs we see today.

Where are you all finding your most nostalgic and grainy cutecore pfp?
