A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and resident of New Mexico, where he owns and operates Corsair Media Productions, a video production company, John Dean Alfone has written professionally about the entertainment industry for Curve, Studio Daily, Below the Line, P3-Production Update, Offbeat, AntiGravity, Culture Dose, Houston Press, Delta Style, Louisiana Weekly, Big Easy Magazine, The American Press, The Daily Advertiser (GANNETT), and Where Yat Magazine.
John lived and worked in New York City for 13 years as an associate producer/researcher at a Japanese television network, music video editor, industrial & commercial film/video director/producer, and web designer. Currently, he works in television and has worked in production on "NFL:Honors" (FOX), "Top Chef" (NBC/Bravo), "America's Got Talent" (NBC), "The Mechanic" (NuImage Entertainment, CBS Films, Millennium Entertainment), "VoodooFest" (FUSE TV), "American Ninja Warrior" (NBC), "The Voice" (NBC), "American Idol" (ABC), "Bar Rescue" (PARAMOUNT NETWORK), "The Circus" (SHOWTIME), "The Deputy" (FOX).
Along with a Junior semester abroad at La Universidad Catolica in La Paz, Bolivia, John received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University (Political Theory) and an MFA Degree in Media Arts Production from the City College of New York.
