Bio

Youthful energy and raw talent backed by decades of musical experience and ability – you don’t want to miss SaraJane McDonald and Sweet FIRE. Serving up a crowd-pleasing mix of today’s top country hits along with homegrown originals and a few 80s throwbacks to keep the audience moving, this band is like nothing you’ve seen before. But once you have, you’ll want to see them again and again.

Formed in 2014, the band has seen early success, including opening gigs for country legends Aaron Tippin, John Anderson, Ronnie McDowell, country rockstars Little Texas, and up and coming Country artists Brian Davis and Jon Pardi. No strangers to the festival circuit, they’ve also taken the stage at Festival in the Park in Roanoke, VA; Smithsburg Pride Days in Smithsburg, MD; The North Carolina Potato Festival in Elizabeth City, NC; The Sonorous Music Festival in Wilmington, NC; and the Labor Day Festival in Buena Vista, VA. From fundraisers to festivals, breweries to bars, SaraJane McDonald and Sweet FIRE have rocked the house all along the East Coast.

Born and raised in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, SaraJane doesn’t just sing about farmer’s daughters – she is one. SaraJane's original songs are a reflection of her humble, hardworking family values which are a direct result of her every day, real life experiences on the McDonald’s bustling turkey and cattle farm. And with comparisons to country powerhouses like Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, SaraJane is aiming high at the young age of 16. And anyone who’s heard her sing will tell you she’s hitting the mark. With a debut album already under her belt, SaraJane is a singer/songwriter who is focused on her goals and has the work ethic and determination to see them through. And she’s assembled a band with the musical chops to get her where she wants to go.

All native to Virginia, Sweet FIRE, consists of four seasoned musicians, Travis Lillard, vocals and acoustic; Jason VanNatten, electric guitar; Wayne Humphrey, bass; and Chuck Crenshaw, drums.
