Email or fax – which is safer?

Hello. I’ve got a client who insists on faxing sensitive info, while I’ve always just used email. We ended up debating which is actually safer, and now I’m curious. Does anyone know of a good breakdown comparing the risks of both so I can settle this argument and maybe change my habits if needed?
