Freelancers: best way to receive international payments (avoiding high fees)?

    Hey everyone,

Hope this is okay for off-topic. Curious to hear how other musicians (freelancers) here handle getting paid by international clients?

I’ve been using PayPal for a while. It’s mostly fine, but the conversion fees can sting on larger amounts, and sometimes there are transfer limits or delays depending on the country. Bank wires are often too slow and expensive for smaller gigs.

I was reading about alternative methods, and someone mentioned using stablecoins like EURS for cross-border payments. The idea is the client sends the stablecoin, and you convert it back to your local currency pretty quickly. Network fees can be low, apparently.

Has anyone actually tried this? Seems like you’d need a reliable platform to easily convert the crypto back to fiat and withdraw it to your bank. I was looking into options and an exchanger came up – they seem to have decent liquidity for USDC-EUR pair. But it also feels like an extra step and maybe a learning curve.

Just wondering what works best for people here? Are you sticking with the traditional methods, or have you found better/cheaper alternatives for getting paid internationally? Appreciate any insights or experiences!
