Rethinking scanners in the office

Hi team. These days everyone seems to rely on phone apps to scan papers. I’m wondering if there is still a reason to buy an actual document scanner, or are apps finally good enough for regular office work? What are your experiences?

Hello. I tested both approaches and the difference is bigger than I expected. Hardware scanners deliver sharper images, preserve colors more accurately, and handle glossy or old records much better than phone apps. For big workloads and sensitive archives, they are still the safer option. Apps are fine for quick notes, but not for professional tasks. I came across a detailed breakdown of this exact topic on https://www.specialtystudios.com/ and it really helped me see why scanners haven’t lost their value.
