Hi everyone,

I’ve recently started receiving RSUs as part of my compensation and I’m trying to understand how the taxation works, especially the withholding part at vesting. I came across a tool called RSU Tax Calculator and it looks helpful for estimating taxes, but I’m not fully sure how accurate these online calculators are compared to real payroll deductions.

Has anyone here used an RSU tax calculator before to plan their tax liability? I’m trying to avoid surprises during tax season and want to know if these tools actually reflect real-world withholding scenarios or if adjustments are usually needed.
