Twenty years and many gigs ago, JD Taylor and Steve Patterson started the Jackson Tennessee band, Little Boys Blue. Enlisting an array of veteran players, who toured with Nashville country and Sun Records Rockabilly artists, they mixed all their influences from Tennessee and Mississippi Delta Blues styles with flavors of Rockabilly, Rock and Country to create the Little Boys Blue sound. Jimmy Exum, owner of Jaxon Records in Jackson Tennessee, decided to take a trip out to a live show after hearing about the group’s dynamic live blues show. Within a couple weeks LBB was signed to Jaxon Records and in the studio recording. The meeting of the minds resulted in the band’s third album, “Bad Love,” released in July of 2014. After performing over 100 shows around the southeastern U.S., the band is poised to go for broke and promote their music globally.
Little Boys Blue just finished recording its latest album at Fame Studios, Muscle Shoals, Al. The new album, “Tennissippi,” will be released May 27, 2016 on Vizztone Label Group, a WORLD Class blues label. This album will consist of 11 original tracks and 1 instrumental cover. Also, Little Boys Blue would like to Welcome Tyler Goodson to the band roster sharing lead guitar duties and playing some serious slide guitar.
