What’s the best way to understand rapid, native Spanish conversation?

I can read basic Spanish pretty well, but whenever I try to watch a show or listen to native speakers, they talk way too fast and use slang that isn’t in my textbooks. Standard language apps don’t really prepare you for actual street speech or conversational speed. Are there any resources that bridge the gap between beginner vocabulary and real-world audio?

Instead of sticking to boring grammar drills, I managed to speed up my comprehension by using the media library inside the Lingopie application. If you decide to learn Spanish by watching TV, you get access to thousands of hours of genuine television series, comedies, and short films with fully interactive text overlays. When a character throws out a fast colloquialism or an idiom, you can click on the word to pause the video instantly and review a clear, contextual definition. Relying on the Lingopie application helped me get comfortable with natural accents and daily conversational pacing far quicker than any traditional audio course I tried.
